High School Athlete of the Week: Cristian Mercado

Cristian led EVAC Varsity Blue defense to a sterling performance against Roosevelt Prep. From his position as safety, Cristian covered acres of space, made multiple interceptions, and stymied one of the best offenses in the league. "Hustle is a skill," said Coach Keith Miller, "and Cristian is a player who epitomizes that ethic."
