where we compete
leagues and locations
We compete interscholastically in the state of Arizona through the Canyon Athletic Association and nationally against other homeschool programs through the National Christian Homeschool Championships.
We don't have our own facilities. Instead, we rent time at different gyms and fields in the East Valley. Our court sport games mostly take place at Mesa Baptist Church, found at 2425 S. Alma School Rd, Mesa, AZ 85210. Field sport practices will be in various places around the East Valley. Please refer to each sport's page for practice locations, which may change depending on coaches, facility availability, and weather.
For away games EVAC junior and high school teams travel throughout Maricopa County and sometimes beyond to Tucson, Yuma, Prescott, Fort Mohave, and Sierra Vista. Families are responsible for transportation, but teams often organize carpools to assist each other.
canyon athletic association
The Canyon Athletic Association (CAA) is an association of member schools/organizations formed over 25 years ago in order to provide athletic competition for students in local charter, private, and home schools in Arizona. With over 220 junior high and high school members, this league provides athletic competition for it's members as an alternative to the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA).
National christian homeschool championships
The National Christian Homeschool Championships (NCHC) started with the Basketball Championship in 1991. It is the largest homeschool tournament in the nation with over 1230 teams competing for various national championships each year in Springfield Missouri. The NCHC now has regional and national tournaments for basketball, volleyball, soccer, golf, and track and field.
