Ability Shines by day and athletes rise by night

EVAC has partnered with Able Purpose Ministries to bring a shared vision to life, developing a new campus designed to serve the community in meaningful ways. In 2025, Able Purpose Ministries purchased 5.14 acres on Gilbert Road, creating an opportunity to build facilities that will include a gymnasium and athletic field.

Able Purpose Ministries serves adults with special needs and is committed to stewarding this property well. Through a unique partnership, these facilities will be used by Able Purpose during the day and by EVAC in the evenings, maximizing impact and creating a space that serves multiple needs within the community.

Together, this building campaign represents more than just new construction. It is an investment in people, purpose, and shared resources.

Building Campaign Phases: Currently in Phase 2 of 4

Phase 1 - Funds Raised and COMPLETE

Buy the land

With support from generous donors, families, and organizations including Sun Valley Community Church and Gilbert Bible Church, Able Purpose Ministries purchased 5.5 acres in Gilbert, AZ for $2.25 million in 2025. This key step laid the foundation for developing a campus that will serve the community for years to come.

Phase 3 - NEED FUNDS. Estimated completion 2026 and 2027

The building Shell

Thanks to two generous family donations totaling $200,000, this phase is underway, but $500,000 to $750,000 is still needed to move forward. A deposit has already been made with the steel building manufacturer, and once the remaining funds are in place, we can complete and erect the building shell. We are close.

Phase 2 - FUNDS RAISED! In progress & to be complete in 2026

Permitting, Planning, and Ground Work

With generous contributions from families and industry connections, architects and contractors are in place, plans are complete, and the project is in the engineering and permitting phase. This phase, estimated at $1.3 million, has already been fully funded. The next step is to break ground and begin site preparation.

Phase 4 - Needs funding and generous construction donations

Finish the building and land

After the groundwork and building shell are complete, we will move into the final phase of construction, including electrical, HVAC, drywall, gym flooring, bleachers, field development, and landscaping. This phase is estimated at $4 million and may be reduced through donated work and in-kind contributions.

phase 3: this is where we need you

Phase 3 - WE NEED YOUR HELP - $500K-$750K still needed

Thanks to two generous family donations totaling $200,000, this phase is underway. We still need $500,000 to $750,000 to complete the building shell. We are close. Your gift today moves us toward fabrication and installation of the steel building.

the problem your donation will solve

1 in 6 children now diagnosed with a developmental disability

And these children grow up.

At age 22, school services end. Most young adults with disabilities have nowhere to go, no community, no purpose, no belonging.

Arizona has over 1 million residents with disabilities. Weekday programs are rare, underfunded, and full. The funds raised will help build facilities to serve these adults with disabilities at Able Purpose Ministries.

188,000+homeschooled students in Arizona

Zero facilities for athletics.

While public schools get tax dollars for facilities, homeschool families fund everything themselves. EVAC teams bounce from gym to gym, no consistency, no home court.

Families choose homeschooling for values, but sacrifice the athletic experience their kids deserve.
