EVAC Weekly Wrap-Up (Aug 25–29): Strong Starts Across the Board

Most of our fall sports teams are officially underway, which means the 2025–2026 school year of EVAC athletics has begun! It was a busy opening week, and our athletes set the tone with strong performances across the board. Here’s a look at how each team did:


Game Highlights from Aug 25–29

Junior High Baseball

  • Started the season hot with two big wins: a 14–2 victory over Val Vista Academy and an 8–5 win against Heritage Academy Maricopa.

  • The offense has been firing early, giving this group great momentum moving forward.

Varsity Boys Soccer

  • Opened the year with a gritty 1–0 win over Canyon State Academy.

  • The defense locked in to secure a shutout and get the season off on the right foot.

Junior High Girls Volleyball

  • Put together a dominant week, winning all three of their matches in straight sets.

  • Swept Champion Schools Chandler, Champion Schools South Mountain, and Benjamin Franklin Charter to stay undefeated.

  • Strong serving and teamwork have defined this squad’s early-season success.

Junior Varsity Girls Volleyball

  • Earned a strong win, defeating EDUPrize Gilbert in two straight sets.

  • A great way to open the season and build confidence moving forward.

Varsity Girls Volleyball

  • Made a strong statement with a 3–0 sweep over EDUPrize Gilbert.

  • Energy, execution, and team unity set the tone for what looks to be a promising season.

  • Tuesday, Sep 2 – JH Girls Volleyball @ Heritage Academy Gateway; JH Coed Soccer vs Heritage Academy Maricopa; Varsity Boys Soccer @ Imagine Prep Coolidge

  • Wednesday, Sep 3 – JV & Varsity Girls Volleyball @ BASIS Scottsdale

  • Thursday, Sep 4 – JH Coed Soccer vs Heritage Academy Mesa; JH Girls Volleyball vs Tri City Christian

  • Friday, Sep 5 – JH Girls Volleyball vs ALA Gilbert North; Varsity Boys Soccer @ BASIS Chandler; Varsity Girls Volleyball @ Maricopa Institute of Technology

  • Saturday, Sep 6 – Varsity Boys Soccer @ Canyon State Academy
