Boys Summer Basketball Tryouts Announcement

We’re excited to kick off plans for our upcoming summer basketball season. Please review the details below so you know what to expect before registering.

Who Can Attend

• Any boy who will be a high school athlete with EVAC during the 2026–2027 school year

Tryout Details

• Date: April 24, 2026

• Time: 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM

• Location: Mesa Baptist

• Registration is required to participate

  • $10 registration fee will be charged in Bound

  • Follow this link to register https://manager.gobound.com/registration/az/school/evac/family

  • When you click the above link it will take you to your family dashboard on Bound.  From there please click Register in the top right, then click East Valley Athletes for Christ.  From there select 2026-2027 and the High School Boys Summer button to register.  

Cost

• Estimated cost for the summer will be approximately $200 per player

Practice Schedule

• Initial practices: May 18, May 19, and May 21

• Ongoing practices: Once per week during the first 4 weeks of June (likely Tuesdays)

Tournaments

• First tournament: May 22–23

• Additional tournaments: Every Friday/Saturday in June

• Note: One out-of-town tournament in Flagstaff

Additional Games

• We are planning to either:

  • Join a summer league for weekday games, OR

  • Schedule scrimmages with local high schools

Participation Expectations

• This is not a 100% attendance commitment requirement

• Players are expected to attend as much as possible

• But we understand that family vacations, church camps, and other commitments may affect availability
