East Valley Athletes for Christ is more than a sports program. It’s a mission—to exemplify Christ through athletic competition and encourage the hearts and minds of the participating homeschool youth in the love and likeness of Christ. This year, 294 unique student-athletes competed across 34 teams in 10 sports. We represented 178+ families, had 455 total sport participations, and were led by 60 coaches across junior high, JV, varsity, and elementary teams. But what stood out most wasn’t just the wins—it was the Christlike character, unified families, and a joyful culture of volunteers who kept the heart of this ministry beating.
Our vision is clear: to create confident and compassionate homeschool students through competitive interscholastic and homeschool athletic activities. We are a vibrant community of homeschool families from the East Valley of Arizona where the love of Christ infuses every interaction and endeavor. We lived out our core values all season long:
Exemplifying Christ
Building Community
A Culture of Joyful Volunteers
Balanced Approach
Sustainable Decision-Making

💙 A Community That Shows Up
EVAC is special because it’s filled with people who love deeply and serve joyfully. Whether it was a midweek volleyball match, a chilly early-morning track meet, or a late-night basketball tournament, one thing was always the same: our families showed up.
We consistently had the biggest and loudest crowd, no matter the venue. Parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends cheered, prayed, encouraged, and celebrated—together. Our athletes felt the support. Our coaches were lifted. Our opponents took notice.
That kind of love and unity is rare. It’s precious. And it reflects the heart of Christ.
Everything we do—every point scored, every race run, every cheer shouted—is ultimately for one purpose: His glory.
And that’s what makes this season one we’ll never forget.
