General Info:  EVAC Varsity boys volleyball participates in the Canyon Athletic Association (CAA). Currently, the CAA only offers a Varsity level competition and no JV.  As a result, EVAC seeks to form a second Varsity boys team (Team 2) if there is enough interest and qualified coaches available to help develop boys between the 8th-11th grades and expose them to the game.

Season: Practices begin the week of Aug.1 with regular season games beginning the third week of August and runs through the end of October. Post season tournament play runs through the first week of November.

 

Ages: Teams are targeted for high school students in grades 9-12.  Students must be 18 years or younger as of August 31. Team size and players on the roster will be determined by the coaches.  

 

Tryouts: All athletes MUST complete EVAC 2023-2024 Registration prior to tryouts.

It will be HOT!  Bring water and a mouth guard.  Cleats are encouraged.  To be at your best, it is suggested to pre-hydrate 2-3 days before tryouts.

 

Practices:  Practice locations will vary depending on the coaches preference.  Typically teams may practice at a local park. Some past teams have utilized Tibshraeny Family Park (270 N. Cottonwood St, Chandler, AZ 85225). Practices will be approximately two hours long three to four times per week after school hours. No practice on Wednesdays or Sundays. Once the season starts, teams will have no more than four to five games or practices per week.

 

Cost: $300 per season (estimated)

 

Coaches: All coaches are volunteers, certified, and meet CAA coaching standards. If you are interested in coaching please contact the Athletic Director.
