General Team Info:  EVAC usually fields two junior high level teams if enough athletes tryout. The Blue team is the top level team with older and more experienced players (primarily 7th/8th grade).  The Silver team is meant for boys new to the game or who are a younger age (5th-8th grade).

 

Season: Practices begin the week of Dec.1 with regular season games beginning January 9, 2024 and the season runs through the third week of February. Post season tournament play runs through the first week of March.

 

Ages: Teams are targeted for junior school students in grades 6-8.  Students cannot be 15 years old before Sept. 1. Students in 5th grade who are interested in trying out for a junior team can do so but priority will be given to JH aged athletes. Team size and players on the roster will be determined by the coaches.  

 

Tryouts: All athletes MUST complete EVAC Registration prior to tryouts.

Tryouts typically take place in mid-November.

Practices:  Practice locations will vary depending on the coaches preference.  Typically teams may practice at a local park. Practices will be 1-2 hours, three times per week after school hours. No practice on Wednesdays or Sundays. Once the season starts, teams will have no more than 3-4 combined games or practices per week.

 

Cost: $200-250 per season (estimated)
