General Team Info:  EVAC usually fields two junior high level teams if enough athletes tryout. The Blue team is the top level team with older and more experienced players (primarily 7th/8th grade).  The Silver team is meant for boys new to the game or who are a younger age (5th-8th grade).

 

Season: Practices begin at the end of February with regular season games beginning in mid-March.  The season runs through the the beginning of May. Post season tournament play runs through the first week or so of May.

 

Ages: Teams are targeted for students in grades 7-8. Students can not be 15 before September 1. Team size and players on the roster will be determined by the coaches.  

 

Tryouts: All athletes MUST complete EVAC Registration prior to tryouts.

 

Dates will be announced in early January.

 

Clinics: Clinics are held periodically in summer and pre-season.  Check the Announcements page for the latest events.

Practices:  Indoor practice locations are TBD with outdoor locations to be utilized if necessary.  Practice will be approximately 1-2 hours, three times per week after school hours. No practice on Wednesdays or Sundays. Once the season starts, teams will have no more than 3-4 combined games or practices per week.

 

Cost: $425or more per season (estimated)

 

Coaches: All coaches are volunteers, certified, and meet CAA coaching standards. If you are interested in coaching please contact the Athletic Director.

Tournaments:  Elementary and JH teams may participate in local tournaments and most likely in the March Gladness tournament in California.
