How to Become a Coach

EVAC is 100% volunteer run - including our coaching staff! While some coaches seek to return after one or more years, some choose not to and we are always looking for willing candidates.  We are looking to promptly fill the rest of our coaching positions for the 2021-2022 school year.

WHO CAN COACH?

EVAC seeks to provide coaching opportunities for parents, alumni, and in some cases community members with connections to EVAC members.

WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR HEAD COACHES?

All EVAC head coaches must fill out an application and interview for the position.  Upon accepting a position, head coaches must complete a fingerprint background check, and four different coaching courses which are completed online and are self-paced.

WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR ASSISTANT COACHES?

All EVAC assistant coaches must fill out an application and talk with the head coach and/or sport coordinator.  Upon accepting a position, assistant coaches must complete an online background check, and two different coaching courses which are completed online and are self-paced.

HOW DO I INQUIRE ABOUT COACHING?

In the future EVAC hopes to create a space on the website for interested coaches.  At the present time, if you are interested in a head/assistant coaching position within EVAC please contact the sports coordinator for the corresponding sport regardless of when the season is.  We would like to fill all our positions ASAP.

 WHEN SHOULD I APPLY?

Right now!  Even if the sport you are interested in is not coming up soon or you are interested in coaching the following year - please let us know of your interest.
